You Have Questions.....We Have Answers!
We know you have questions regarding chartering a bus so we'll try and address the most common questions we get asked. If you don't see the information you need here, please email us or; call us toll free at (800)979-4498 to speak witih any member of our team, Thank you.
How far in advance should I reserve a bus?
Charter bus service does sell out quickly depending on where and when you need the service. Remember, these buses are used by schools and colleges, churches and private groups, corportation and government accounts all year long. We suggest booking as soon as you know you'll need the service. Ask us about our refundable deposits!
What forms of payment are acceptable?
Our company accepts personal, corporate and organizational checks so long as your payment is received 10 days prior to your charter. We also accept; wire transfers, American Express, VISA, Mastercard and Discover. Please contact us if you need special arrangements for payment, we are very flexible and eager to work with you.
How do I know my bus will be insured and licensed?
72 hours prior to your charter you may request a copy of the carriers certificate of insurance and safety report at no charge. We will email or fax this to you for your review and will be more than glad to go over it to explain what everything means. All buses provided by USA Bus Charter are licensed and insured.
What happens if our bus breaks down during our charter?
Breakdowns in 2012 occured at a rate of less than 1%. However, if your equipment fails the operator is obligated to provide a replacement bus and USA Bus Charter will work with them to ensure one is secured. All of the operators used by USA Bus Charter have more than one coach in their fleet and replacement buses are readily available from them as well as other affiliates of USA Bus Charter.
Can we bring alcohol on the bus?
Please consult your account manager regarding this. Some States do not allow alcoholic beverages to be transported and or consumed on the bus. In some cases you will need to pay a deposit and or additional fee for this as well as provide proof that all passengers are over the age of 21.
What happens if we go over time and there are additional charges?
All overtime is billed at the time the service is used. This means you must be able to pay by check or credit card for the service you use in the even you go beyond that of what you have pre-paid. Please check with you account manager for overtime rates and information that may be specific to your charter.
Will I receive a confirmation of my charter?
Each charter is contracted in writing. DO NOT EVER CHARTER A BUS FROM ANYONE without getting a complete contract listing the terms and conditions of your charter. If the company "only" sends you an invoice....do not accept the service or pay a deposit as you may lose your money. This contract sent to you by USA Bus Charter acts as your confirmation. We also suggest you call us 48 hours prior to the charter date to confirm all information with the local dispatcher whose information we will provide to you.
Why are some bus quotes more expensive than others?
Easy. In the charter bus business you get what you pay for. Buses can cost upwards of $600K for a new coach. An operator running a 15 year old bus with no payment and brakes on it from his friend Harold is going to cost you less than a coach supplied by a reputable, insured, licensed and legal operation who charters new and late model buses. If you recieve a quote from USA Bus Charter that is higher than another quote, let us know. We will check the quote for you and try to negotiate the best price possible for your group with one of our FIVE STAR affiliates.
Still have a question? No problem. Send us an email now and we'll get right back to you with the information you need.
